Hello, everybody! Before subscribing to my blog, I’m going to assume most of you are at least a little bit interested in the person on the other side of the screen. So here’s a small look into my life!
My name is Caylie Grace. I am a senior in high school and am graduating in May of 2020 (woot woot!). After high school, I’m planning on attending a community college in my hometown, and then transferring to a Bible institute after a year.
The first time I ever enjoyed reading a book was in third grade, but I didn’t fall in love with reading until sixth thanks to the good ole Book-it program in my school. My 7th-9th grade English teacher, however, was the person to really ignite my passion for writing.
Not only did she teach English in such a way that I actually understood it, but she would often give us examples of her own writings and books to explain her point. She was a gentle, kind lady who always had tea in her hands and a sweater over her shoulders. I decided early on that I wanted to be just like her when I grew up.
Whether that means I ultimately end up teaching English or not, I know for a fact that I want to write.
So far, I’ve written seven finished books and I’m working on the eighth. As much as I absolutely hate my earlier works, I learned a lot through them and have packed away many tips and tricks through the years. I am not an expert by any means, but I am hoping the research I have gathered will be helpful to at least one other person.

Current read: Artemis Fowl series and Treasure Island
First book written: A story that was way too similar to The Maze Runner about a group of kids being thrown outside the walls of their city by their evil government. I still love parts of it, but it was ultimately pretty bad. Haha!
Favorite ice cream: Mint Oreo
Favorite movie: Pearl Harbor and Pirates of the Caribbean
Favorite superhero: Ironman or Spidey (but I honestly love like all of them)
Favorite color: Blue
